Event description

Description

Nonprofit Next will take place from 8:00 - 11:00am on Thursday, January 18th at the Commons of Evergreen in Holland. This event serves as the Lakeshore Nonprofit Alliance's (LNA) annual report to members/supporters and provides the opportunity to gather the larger nonprofit community to share the good work taking place in the sector. Nonprofit Next also provides space for discussion, highlights industry trends and lets members know what they can expect from LNA moving forward. This is a particularly special occasion as it marks the 5th anniversary of the very first Nonprofit Next event that kicked off all of the work of LNA over the last 5 years. You will not want to miss hearing where we go from here!

This year's event will feature a very special keynote speaker in Lisa Brown Alexander (President and CEO of the Washington, DC Based Nonprofit HR). Nonprofit HR is a human resource consulting firm out of Washington, DC, that is helping many of the world's most prminent nonprofit organizations get ahead through smart human resources strategies, and in the process, changing the way an entire sector thinks about talent and culture. Lisa will share with us the top talent recruitment, development and retention strategies she sees in the nonprofit sector based both on her research and first-hand experience.

You do not need to be an LNA member to come to this event and we encourage both staff and board members to take part.

A continental breakfast will be served. Doors open at 8:00am for check-in and networking, with the annual event and Keynote Speaker starting at 8:30am. The event will end at 11:00am.
