Nonprofit II: Finances, Fundraising, Evaluation

As a nonprofit staff leader or board member, what do you need to know about managing and reporting the money you have? How do you secure enough money to effectively accomplish your mission? And how do you effectively tell donors and prospective donors about what difference you make?

This course will focus on excellence in demonstrating good stewardship of the public trust and honoring donor intent, and was designed to help nonprofit leaders evaluate and improve their operations, financial management, fundraising and evaluation.

Offered as a stand-alone course as part of Millsaps Else School of Management Executive Education AALP Program, this course is one of three required elective courses to earn your Excellence in Action (EIA) certification through The Mississippi Alliance of Nonprofits and Philanthropy's signature training.

About your instructors:

MARY ELLEN CALVERT - is an Adult Educator and Nonprofit Consultant. She has served as a nonprofit subject matter expert and curriculum developer in the areas of capacity building and organizational development for national and regional companies and charitable organizations. Currently serving as lead consultant for programming for The MS Alliance of Nonprofits and Philanthropy, Mary Ellen has designed and implemented programs and curriculum that focuses on demonstrating impact and effective organizational culture.

NANCY PERRET - specializes in working with nonprofits, primarily in the areas of organizational and strategic planning, and leadership and organizational development. The project manager for the four-year effort culminating in the creation of The MS Alliance of Nonprofits and Philanthropy, Nancy has helped nonprofits reach their goals for nearly thirty years.
