Many of you have served or are currently serving on a community nonprofit board and recognize the board as a key body for navigating organizational complexity. Please join us for an advanced-level nonprofit board discussion that explores the board’s role in strategic leadership. The session is designed for community members serving on a nonprofit board or in leadership positions with charitable organizations and are experienced in nonprofit governance.

In this session we will explore:

  • Curious Boards
  • Beyond nonprofit Board of Directors Fiduciary Duties: Defining the Duty of Leadership
  • Governance As Leadership: Exploring the three modes of governance
  • Takeaway Tip: Consent Agenda

Dinner and Networking: 5:30-5:45 p.m. 
Presentation & Q&A session: 5:45-7:30 p.m. 

This session is the same that was offered on 5/24/2016. This discussion will be led by Jennifer Kramm of MAP for Nonprofits. This session assumes participants have a foundation in board roles and responsibilities and/or have taken MAP’s Board Boot Camp class.

Parking is available at limited street meters or pay parking structures.
