#NoMuslimBanEver: NYIC Mobilization to DC!
Event Information
Description
Please join the NYIC and our members across New York State on Wednesday, October 18th, 2017 as we mobilize on buses to Washington D.C. to support of the #NoMuslimBanEver campaign. The NYIC led dozens of actions in response to the Muslim & Refugee ban and now we must mobilize to ensure Washington hears New York loud and clear: “Immigrants, Muslims & Refugees are WELCOME HERE”
On October 18th, the latest iteration of the Ban goes into effect. This is an important moment for us to organize a strong, loud, mass mobilization that sends a clear message to this Administration: Muslim communities are organized, and our allies have our back. We will not be silent and we will stand up for our communities in the face of any and all discriminatory policies.
The Muslim and refugee bans are discriminatory, unconstitutional and inhumane in the same vein as the Chinese Exclusion Act, Japanese American internment, and special registration after 9/11 (National Security Entry-Exit Registration System or NSEERS). We must remember history and raise our voices.
Join us in declaring No. Muslim. Ban. Ever!
