FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions):

What is the refund policy?

Refunds are permitted with the following limitations. Please read carefully:

Cancelations prior to 1/1/2017 will receive a 100% refund, minus a $25.00 processing fee.

Cancelations after 1/1/2017 and BEFORE 5/14/2017 will receive a 75% refund, minus a $25.00 processing fee.

Cancelation after 5/15/017: NO REFUND.

Why are all tickets purchased or canceled after 5/15/17 non-refundable?

This is a small convention with a limited number of tickets per event. By making the tickets non-refundable after a certain date, people who are serious about attending will have a better chance of getting a ticket to their favorite event instead of those events being sold out by people who were merely reserving tickets “just in case.”

What is the transfer policy?

All tickets are non-transferable.

How do I contact Nola StoryCon?

Email us at: nolastorycon AT gmail.com (Replace the AT with a @ in your email.) Important: Emails/messages/tweets sent to any other place will NOT be answered.

Are there ID requirements or any age restrictions?

ID’s are required to pick up badges at the hotel, and badges are required for entry into ALL ticketed events. Events are open to all ages, but proof of legal drinking age will be required for those buying liquor at the cash bar.

How many books can I bring from home to get signed?

For the mass signing, each attendee will be allowed to bring up to 10 “books from home” at no additional charge. Please note that this is up to 10 books PER ATTENDEE, not per author.

If you would like to bring MORE than 10 "from home" books to the Saturday signing, a $10 fee will be charged. You can pre-pay this fee here and we will include it with your registration packet. We will also sticker your books at the Registration desk. Otherwise, extra "from home" tickets will be available at the signing on a first-come, first-serve basis, and tickets are limited.

Important note: if an author has a line, you are allowed only 10 books signed at a time. For additional books, you will need to go to the back of the line and wait to get your next batch of books signed. This is because some of our authors have extensive backlists, and we want to be fair to other readers as well as respect building fire codes.

All “from home” books will need to be stickered by event staff, or they will not be allowed in the signing.

Exceptions: the 10 "books from home" does not apply to any pre-orders handled by our official book seller, Murder By The Book, or books purchased on site from Murder By The Book prior to the signing. Also, any books given away as prizes at Nola StoryCon will not count toward the 10 "books from home" limitations. All pre-ordered, on site, and giveaway books will be pre-stickered for your convenience.
