Train up in disaster preparedness and response - join the NOLA Ready CERT Team.

What is NOLA Ready CERT?

NOLA Ready is looking for passionate and commited volunteers to join our Community Emergency Response Team (CERT). NOLA Ready CERT volunteers help to prepare their neighbors and communities for different types of disasters, as well as support first responders and community disaster partners in response and recovery efforts. If you are passionate about emergency preparedness and disaster response and recovery in your community, this free training is for you!

Through a mix of classroom sessions and hands-on activities taught by emergency management professionals and first responders, the comprehensive 2 day NOLA Ready CERT training program educates volunteers about disaster preparedness for the hazards that may impact their area. It trains them in basic disaster response skills, such as fire safety, light search and rescue, community disaster support, team organization, disaster medical operations, city assisted evacuation, sheltering, and more.

Dates: Saturday June 8th & Saturday June 15th (*CERT participants must complete both training days!*)

Time: 9am-5pm

Location: New Orleans EMS Headquarters (2929 Earhart Blvd. New Orleans, LA)

Cost: Training is Free.Coffee, breakfast, lunch and disaster manual will be provided!
