Noche de Parranda: RNE Scholarship Fundraiser
Event Information
About this Event
Join the REFORMA Northeast Chapter for our very first holiday fundraiser!
We are hosting a "Noche de Parranda: RNE Scholarship Fundraiser".
Based on the tradition of Parrandas from Puerto Rico, where friends travel to each other’s home to play music and sing Christmas carols and then move to another home until morning, this virtual Parranda features JuanMa, founder of Sonido Costeño, playing the national string instrument of Puerto Rico, the Cuatro, and playing Aguinaldos.
Tickets are $20 (plus a small Eventbrite fee of $1.72) and the money will go towards our Lillian Marrero Scholarship. Every year the REFORMA Northeast Chapter awards this scholarship to Library Science students who are committed to serving the Latinx and Spanish speaking community.
The Zoom link will be sent the day before the event.
We hope to see you there!
