#GivingTuesday is Tuesday, November 29, 2016!
The New Orleans Ballet Association | NOBA fulfills a vital role in both the local and the international dance community by presenting some of the very best artists in the world, commissioning new works, and providing quality dance instruction and services to the community. Through our nationally recognized education programs, NOBA reaches thousands of participants ages 3--90 each year with more than 5,500 tuition-free classes and activities annually throughout the region. In fact, more than 95% of all that NOBA provides – whether on the stage, in a community center, or in a school – is tuition-free to the community, creating an environment of widespread accessibility and exposure to the art form.
Since the founding of the NORDC/NOBA Center For Dance in 1992 (a public-private partnership with the New Orleans Recreation Development Commission) and other partnerships, over 19,000 individuals have participated in more than 50,000 tuition-free classes. Ticket sales for Main Stage productions cover less than one-third of NOBA’s programming costs. The remaining funds needed are contributed by generous individuals like you, corporations, foundations, and governmental agencies. Please help us continue our work and efforts to make sure that dance remains a vital part of the cultural fabric of this great city!
All contributions are tax-deductible.
