About this Event
Founded in 1969, New Orleans Ballet Association (NOBA) advances the dance field by cultivating understanding, appreciation, and enjoyment of dance through performance, education, and community service. Dynamic programs and innovative strategies position NOBA as a leading dance and service organization in Louisiana and the Central Gulf region. NOBA offers: 1) a Main Stage Series (MSS), a full season of world-class dance companies of all genres; and 2) Education, Health/Wellness, and Arts Healing Programs that benefit individuals ages 3-80+ through 5,500+ tuition-free classes, workshops, and outreach activities annually.
Key priorities and objectives include: 1) providing high-quality arts education programs that develop the artistic talent of today's youth; 2) enhancing and strengthening the cultural workforce through ongoing professional development opportunities for and employment of local artists; 3) reducing and eliminating barriers to ensure equal access for all; 4) producing and presenting high caliber international, national, and local dance; and 5) creating and sustaining partnerships to further foster the above stated mission and priorities.
