Why is HHSC holding this listening session?

HHSC received a grant from the Administration for Community Living to assess and strengthen the state’s No Wrong Door System of Access. As part of the grant, HHSC is holding listening sessions across the state to learn about Texans’ experiences finding and accessing long-term services and supports.

What if I want to attend more than one session time slot?

Attendees are encouraged to register for the listening session time slot they most identify with and will be able to share feedback or experiences with finding and accessing services that may or may not be for the target audience of the session you registered for.

Will I have other ways to provide input?

Yes. HHSC is also conducting a statewide survey later this year to gather feedback on Texans’ experiences finding and accessing long-term services and supports. More information about the survey will be shared soon.

No. HHSC is hosting 5 other listening sessions in Fort Worth, El Paso, San Antonio, McAllen, and Tyler.

This session is not for enrolling in benefits, only to provide feedback on your experiences accessing and receiving long-term services and supports. Former service members seeking access to VA benefits should contact the Texas Veterans Commission or the Veterans Benefits Administration.
