No More Ramen! Cooking class by The Refined Cook is geared towards kitchen newbies 18 years and older who want a practical, hands-on approach to cooking. This 4-hour class covers fundamentals of cookery starting with safety and hygiene, basic knife skills, use of kitchen tools and gadgets, and some basic cooking processes which will be used in preparing five dishes. We will explore sustainability practices (how to choose ingredients, use of compost, food management/storage) and strategies towards making cooking a natural and enjoyable lifestyle choice. 2-4 participants per class. Registration closes 7 days before event.
In this class, we will make:
Classic Tomato soup, Pan fried wild or sustainably-farmed Salmon, Organic Chicken with mushrooms and wine, Asparagus with caramelized onions and toasted almonds, Organic brown rice*

The Classroom

- Participants must wear comfortable clothes and covered shoes
