Program launched by Social Impact and Innovation, UC San Diego to raise awareness of Human Trafficking through conversation and a theater performance by kNOw MORE!

Opening Speaker: Pradeep K. Khosla, UC San Diego Chancellor

Keynote Speaker: Carrie Hessler Radelet, President and CEO of Project Concern International (PCI)

Conversations with: Suresh Subramani, Global Director of Tata Institute for Genetics and Society,

Carmen Kcomt, Director, Legal and Social Services Department - La Maestra Community Health Centers- CA Delegate, Refugee Congress

Ramesh Rao, Director of Qualcomm Institute, UC San Diego

Lianne Urada, Assistant Professor, Gender Equity and Health, UC San Diego

UC San Diego theatre students will be participating with kNOw MORE!, Human Trafficking Awareness and Prevention Curriculum for youth. This performance uses dialogue, abstract, dramatized images and spoken word, to incite curiosity and prompt a learning journey towards understanding the red flags and vulnerability of human trafficking and the tragic social issue. The program will close with a heartfelt performance by Buki Domingos, famous singer songwriter, activist, and survivor of human trafficking.

In Partnership with: Project Concern International (PCI), Qualcomm Institute, UC San Diego, Alliance4Empowerment, kNOw MORE!, and UC San Diego.

REFRESHMENTS WILL BE PROVIDED

Parking: Visitors can best find parking at Hopkins Parking Structure. Parking pay stations are near the entrances and elevators. Purchase a Visitor Permit which cost $1 per 45 minutes, up to $8 for a full day. You can park in any V, B, or S spot for the amount of time you have purchased.
