You will understand key accessibility concepts, guidelines (like WCAG), and why accessibility matters from both ethical and legal perspectives. In addition, we'll see the importance of combining automated tools with manual testing techniques to catch a wider range of issues and hands-on examples that demonstrate how to identify common accessibility problems.
This time we'd like to hold the main part of the event in English - two reasons behind:
- we will have a non-Czech speaker
- we'd like to open up also for new community members who might not be Czech citizens.
Who you will have a chance to meet?
The whole evening will be moderated, as usually, by Miro Oresky (currently Senior QA Automation Engineer in Lifeliqe).
And we will have Oleksandra Pavliuchenko from Itera, who will tell us more about accessibility in testing.
- Oleksandra has over 8 years of hands-on experience in the tech industry.
- Began her career as a QA trainee at Itera and today combines Test Lead and Project Manager roles.
- Has participated on a wide range of projects across diverse sectors, including banking, oil and gas, and ticketing systems.
- One of her key strengths is ability to deliver results no matter what. One example of this was becoming an expert in accessibility testing within 2 weeks with zero prior knowledge :)
No Bugs Allowed is a series of meetups for the QA community, where you can find inspiration for your work. We aim to connect with a wide range of like-minded people and discuss current topics in QA and software testing. And we like to keep things informal. We’ll feed not only your curiosity – great food and drinks included.
📍How to get to the venue?
Clubco is a co-work space within the Vlnena Business Park, you can enter the building by the entrance Vlnena 3 or Vlnena 5.
Public transport: Tram stop "Vlhká".
Drivers: You can use the blue zone parking near Vlnena Business Park (zone B right next to the building, zone C nearby), or you can park your car right under the building in the parking lot for 100 CZK/hour).
