Postproduction Workshop Series #9 - 2016
Thursday, September 15, 2016 6 to 8pm, Chris Paul of Post Office Video will present "Closed Captioning and Subtitling Video 101." Chris will discuss Closed Captions… Open Captions… Subtitles… We se them on TV programs, DVD’s, streaming media and foreign films. They are required by the FCC on programs longer than 15 minutes and strongly recommended on anything shorter. Should you be putting them on your projects? How do you make them? Is the built-in captioning in apps like Adobe Premiere good enough or do you need a dedicated program? Chris Paul tells all.
Chris is a 30-year video production veteran based in Albuquerque, NM. He has shot and edited a ridiculous number of commercials, industrials, music videos and regional broadcast shows for clients including Motorola, Sandia National Laboratories and the Multiple Sclerosis Society. He currently owns POV, Inc, a full service boutique media production company that features 4K video and closed captioning. He volunteers with Amnesty International and enjoys travel and music with his wife and son. Chris serves on the Executive Board of the Post Alliance as Treasurer.
