New Mexico Rainforest University Center Fall Seminar Series
UNM Rainforest Innovations and the Innovation Academy are hosting their fall 2022 University Center Webinar series. The New Mexico Rainforest University Center provides entrepreneurial training and technical assistance at the University of New Mexico main and branch campuses. The webinars are free and open to the UNM community and the public via web access, but registration is required. A certificate program in entrepreneurial capabilities is available to UNM students and community members thru UNM’s Innovation Academy. About the Speaker:
Henry Jake Foreman MCRP is a specialist in facilitation, development, and implementation of engaging learning experiences for students of all ages and has created a variety of curricula around education, health, and entrepreneurship. He is the founder of Karuna Colectiva, a social enterprise that delivers the principles of engagement, innovation, and application through mentorship, bicycling, and cooperative economics. He is also the Program Director of New Mexico Community Capital and manages the Financial & Business Basics course that is designed to help build a solid foundation to form and grow business ideas with a personal financial plan for success. Participants learn the tools used to effectively conceptualize, plan and implement their financial goals and business ideas through hands-on learning experiences with a community of peers and mentors. Henry recently has become the first Grow With Google Digital Coach for Indigenous Communities. Indigenous methodologies and epistemologies guide his research approaches to working with youth trainers and communities to promote the health of our biosphere.
About the New Mexico Rainforest University Center
The University Center program is funded by the U.S. Economic Development Administration to provide entrepreneurial training and technical assistance to individuals or small businesses who are looking to start or grow their idea. The platform for the training will be e-commerce, designed to assist any business with its digital presence. The New Mexico Rainforest University Center provides entrepreneurial training and technical assistance at the University of New Mexico main and branch campuses. The webinars are free and open to the UNM community and the public via in person or web access, but registration is required.
