Our Annual Reentry Conference will focus on job training and other essential skills needed for successful reentry into society. The Conference, titled “Training for the Dignity of Work” focuses on connecting people to training and then to work. The conference will be held at St. Peter’s University on Thursday, April 6.

It will feature the stories of several NJRC participants who have developed careers because of quality job training. The Conference will also feature a variety of seminars with business leaders, government officials, and the formerly incarcerated, which will underscore the importance of providing the reentry population with training opportunities that lead to a pathway to employment.

This is a premier opportunity for employees and employers to learn more about hiring formerly incarcerated individuals, as well as ways we can better support persons in the workplace. There will also be networking opportunities available so that individuals in attendance can build relationships with potential employers or mentors who can help guide them through their transition back into life outside of prison walls.
