Description

Voorhees Transportation Center (VTC) and NJ TRANSIT to Hold NJLUTRANS.org Planning Tool Webinar

This VTC webinar will showcase new features and data included in version 1.2 of the NJ Land Use + Transit Data Application (NJLUTRANS.org), a GIS-based, on-line tool that allows users to map, report, and download a range of land use, travel, public transit, demographic, and real estate development data. VTC will present examples of how the data application can be used to support integrated land use and transit planning in New Jersey, with an emphasis on facilitating transit-oriented development.

NJLUTRANS.org is for everyone!

  • Elected officials and land use planners can use the application to profile existing conditions in their communities.

  • Transportation professionals can explore current and future travel corridor conditions as part of project planning.

  • Economic and real estate development professionals can use the application to do due diligence and identify possible development opportunities.

  • The public can learn more about opportunities for development in proximity to transit in their communities.

The data application has been recently updated with new features and data, including information on PATH, PATCO, SEPTA and private ferry services; multi-modal connections available at rail stations and ferry terminals; transit service information; updated graphics on reports that allow for easy export; and a range of other functionality enhancements.

  • Megan Massey, AICP/PP, NJ TRANSIT (Session Moderator)
