Wearing whites after Labor Day never looked or sounded so good!
Nitehawk’s White Party outdoor screening event celebrates 1920s America with the jazzy tale of cinema’s most notorious murderesses in the 2002 musical version of Chicago. Watch as fella-killers Velma Kelly and Roxi Hart continue to clamour for fame and stardom while on death row...but there’s only room for one legend. Setting the swinging mood before the movie is Michael Arenella and his Dreamland Orchestra - the world’s premier Jazz-Age dance orchestra, steeped in the hot-dance band tradition of the 1920s and early 1930s.
Food and drink vendors include Nitehawk Cinema (special popcorns), Brooklyn Star (pulled pork sandwiches and veggie options too), OddFellows (ice cream) and Brooklyn Brewery (beer). Wine and water will also be available to purchase.
Brooklyn Star is now accepting orders for their Fried Chicken Picnic Basket for you to enjoy at Havemeyer Park! Email thebrooklynstarreservations@gmail.com to reserve.
