The GovCon Club presents the NITAAC/Industry CIO-SP4 Virtual Chat
Event Description:
In federal contracting, the designation of a "Best-in-Class" contract or BIC, means the contract vehicle has OMB's stamp of approval as a preferred governmentwide solution that allows federal acquisition executives and professionals to leverage pre-vetted, governmentwide contracts to access an array of goods, services and solutions. The NITAAC CIO-SP3 and CIO-SP3 SB contracts have that designation and it's expected their successors, CIO-SP4 and CIO-SP4 SB will also be BIC's.
On Friday, April 17, 2020, the GovCon Club hosts a web-based stop on the CIO-SP4 Roadshow called the NITAAC/Industry CIO-SP4 Virtual Chat. This event is an opportunity for companies in pursuit of the 10-year, $20 billion, IT services, Best-in-Class GWACs to hear from Government and Industry to increase their knowledge, their relationships and their strategies for developing a winning approach.

Background:
The National Information Technology Acquisitions and Assessment Center released a draft RFP on March 27, 2020 for the follow-on to a 10-year, $20 billion, IT services governmentwide acquisition contracts CIO-SP3 and CIO-SP3 Small Business. NITAAC announced the schedule at a Dec. 3 quarterly contract holder meeting.
The new vehicle will be called Chief Information Officer – Solutions and Partners IV and will continue to be managed through NITAAC, a division of the Health and Human Services Department’s National Institutes of Health.
The target date for release of the CIO-SP4 final RFP is October 2020, according to Brian Goodger, associate director of NIH’s Office of Logistics and Acquisition Operations.
CIO-SP4 will rely on a self-scoring evaluation criteria, Goodger said, and may require certifications such as FedRamp or others.
NITAAC Director Bridget Gauer reported that NITAAC awards, which include CIO-SP3; CIO-SP3 Small Business; and CIO-CS (Chief Information Officer Commodity Solutions), totaled $6 billion in fiscal 2019, the highest annual spending recorded to date.
