I want to take both the ICS 300 & 400 Courses. Do I need to register separately for ICS 300?

Yes, you must register separately for ICS 300: Intermediate ICS for Expanding Incidents. ICS 300 is a pre-requisite for ICS 400. You can register for ICS 300 HERE. If you are planning to attend both courses, plan to be in training all day 8:00 AM -5:00 PM on Monday, May 11th through Thursday, May 14th.

Why is the last day of ICS 300 and the first day of ICS 400 scheduled for the same day?

Training sessions on Wednesday, May 13th serves as both the last day for ICS 300 AND the first day for ICS 400. The training material covered at the end of ICS 300 is the same material needed for the refresher portion of ICS 400; therefore, they are able to be combined. This combined course schedule opportunity allows those taking both ICS 300 and ICS 400 in the same week to shorten their total length of the trainings by one day.

Can I get my California Fire Service Training and Education Program Certification through this course?

Yes. This course fulfills requirements for the California Fire Service Training and Education Program Certification. The course is free; however, to receive your certification you must bring a certificate fee of $20.00.
