Night to Shine - Bloomington, IN 2020

On one night, Friday, February 7th, 2020, Sherwood Oaks Christian Church is honored to be one of more than 500 churches from around the world coming together to host Night to Shine for approximately 90,000 honored guests!

The Tim Tebow Foundation launched Night To Shine in 2014 as a world-wide movement, changing Valentine's Day weekend from simply a celebration of love to a celebration of the value of life and of God's love for people with special needs. It's a night when ALL guests are kings and queens of the prom. In February 2018, 537 churches and 175,000 volunteers in 50 states and 16 countries came together to celebrate 90,000 honored guests!

Every Night To Shine Guest enters this complimentary event on a red carpet complete with a warm welcome from a friendly crowd and paparazzi. Once inside, guests receive the royal treatment, including hair and makeup stations, shoe shining stations, limousine rides, corsages and boutonnieres, photos, karaoke, catered dinner, prom favors for each honored guest, and of course, dancing! Plus, each guest receives a crown or tiara because they are all kings and queens!

Dress code for guests and volunteers is Sunday best up to formal attire.

We also want to honor the incredible parents, family members, and caregivers for their lifetime commitment to caring for their loved ones with special needs by offering a Respite Room for those who desire to stay on-site during the event. This provides the opportunity to rest, eat, and enjoy a night off, knowing that their loved one is having an amazing time in a safe, friendly, and Christ-centered environment with a personally-assigned companion.

Parents/Caregivers who do not stay on-site during the event are asked to please arrive by 8:30PM to ensure a smooth pick-up of their Guest at the conclusion of Night To Shine at 9:00PM.
