Description

On Friday September 22nd during the “Fall for the Stars Dark Sky Weekend”, join us for a free night sky and light painting photography workshop with photographer Mike Bayer in the beautiful Kejimkujik National Park and National Historic Site, Nova Scotia. This workshop will be a introduction to the fun and creative world of night sky and light painting photography.

The workshop will last for 3.5 hours, (Sept, 22 -7:30pm-11pm). This workshop will be a hands-on experience. During the workshop we will discuss the general concepts of how to photograph the night sky, light painting technique with flash lights, DSLR manual mode and controlling focus at night. At this time, the plan is to photograph along the shores of Kejimkujik lake and possibly Mill Falls.

*** Please note: for this event you will need a DSLR or Mirrorless Camera, tripod and a flashlight.

Limited to 6 participants

Who Should Attend?
Anyone with intermediate photography experience, and awareness of their cameras manual camera mode and focusing control would be an asset for this workshop.

Meeting Location: The meeting point for the Night Sky Workshop will be the Merrymakedge beach Parking lot (P4). What To Bring:
- Camera
- Fully charged battery + extra battery if possible
- Tripod
- Flashlight
- Memory cards
- Comfortable walking shoes
- Warm clothes
- Water bottle and snack

Rain & Advance Weather policy: In the event of strong rain or other adverse weather conditions, participants will be contacted by email the evening before the scheduled start time.
