About this Event

About this Event

Night photography offers new and unique ways to interpret both urban and natural landscapes. These long exposures can push us in creative directions to show the passage of time in ways not seen with our own eyes.

Join National Parks at Night photographers, Gabriel Biderman and Tim Cooper, for an inspirational lecture that will you get comfortable with photographing at night. Gabe and Tim will educate attendees on the importance of scouting and using applications like PhotoPills. They will also discuss different ways to interpret the night - from Milky Way and star points to long exposures that highlight the movement of time. Additionally, they will share how light painting and night portraiture can be used to tap into your innovative night visions.

You will also want to bring your camera and tripod along. After the lecture, Tim and Gabe will lead a night photo walk and help you put the skills discussed into action. Space is limited, so make your reservations today. The book Night Photography: From Snapshots to Great Shots available for purchase and to sign.

National Parks at Night will also be exhibiting photographs of their breathtaking nightscapes on The Wall at 529, locating inside of the Peak Design Flagship Store. Images can be seen during the store's business hours and will be on view until November 23rd.
