Event description



This event includes the seminar and the Joshua Tree Workshop.

Seminar Run Time: 2 hrs

Workshop Run Time: 4-8 Hours In the park. (Please, because of park limitations. NO SIGNIFICANT OTHERS...students only!)

Attendee Experience Level: None - Beginner - Advanced - Expert

Recommended Camera Owners: Any Nikon or Non-Nikon DSLR, FX or “Full Frame” sensor cameras are recommended, but not mandatory for optimum results.

You will start with the seminar, Friday the 31st of May, 6PM-8PM, at the Georges Camera Accademy Classroom. Class attendence is required in order to attend workshop.

On Tuesday, June 4th, you will head out to the Park and make night sky pictures of the Milky Way and star trails… weather permitting. If the weather doesn’t cooperate, we will play with some light painting, night cloud imaging, and more.

The Night Sky has always been a beautiful and mysterious subject for so many photographers. If there are stars in your eyes, join Georges Camera for an amazing hands-on workshop experience. A select few of us will journey to Joshua Tree National Park with Paul Van Allen; Nikon’s Tech Rep will guide you through the settings and techniques needed for breath-taking night sky images!

*Owners of any brand DX, ACIL and Compact Cameras are welcome to attend.

Meeting location and times will be annonced at seminar on the 31st of May.

What to bring: List of what to bring, wear, and have so that you are prepared will be provided at the seminar at the 31st of May seminar.
