Yoga Nidra, sometimes referred to as "Yogic Sleep Meditation", is a state of consciousness between wake and sleep where students are guided towards their own deep healing frequencies. Through breath and posture preparation, the students are able to connect to sensations and interpretations on a much deeper level, increasing awareness of the whole body, mind, heart (emotional body), and spirit.
In this session, we turn inward to listen to the inner dialogue and surrender all momentum; our goal is to find epic stillness so that we may observe and create compassion for the self by connecting to the deepest centers of our existence. By reconnecting within, we can increase our healing capabilities and invite new inspiration and evolution while allowing for deep rest, relaxation, and restoration.
The class will be 2 parts. The first part of class will be a sound healing meditation and vinyasa flow to warm the body, and then class will prepare for Yoga Nidra.
Essentials for class include a mat, water, small pillow, warm clothes, a small blanket and any other items that helps the student relax and be completely comfortable.
Newsha is a sound & music focused E-RYT Certified Instructor in Vinyasa, Hot/Hot Power Fusion, Sculpt, & Yoga Nidra Levels 1 & 2. A Colorado native and snow athlete, she taught gymnastics and breakdancing in college, loves to get inverted & loves to help others get upside down. When she's not teaching, Newsha is a photographer, videographer, & DJ.
