About this event

Direct Support House Concerts is thrilled to present Nichole Wagner in a duo performance ideal for our listening environment. Respected from the start as "one of Austin’s most promising young singer-songwriters" (Peter Blackstock), Nichole has remained creative during the pandemic, with releases including a cover of Talking Heads' "Life During Wartime" which received an exclusive premiere feature from Gary Graff in Billboard.

Revenue from this show will help Nichole to offset pandemic losses and begin recording a brand-new record for 2022.

DOORS 6:00pm | MUSIC 7:00pm

Merch credit in lieu of refunds if rained out.

Thanks as always for supporting independent music!

ABOUT DIRECT SUPPORT HOUSE CONCERTS: In live music, "direct support" refers to the artist or band that performs just before the headliner. The direct support act is entrusted with helping to promote the show and bring as many people as possible in cooperation with the headliner. When music patrons gather for a house concert, we are serving as direct support for an independent musician working to make a living with their art. We recognize this as a clear and simple opportunity to exercise one of our core values. All proceeds go to the musicmakers: $100 to the sound engineer and the rest to the artist.

A house concert grants you access to a unique, up-close-and-personal performance that creates an artist-listener connection rarely experienced in a club or concert hall. We create a respectful listening environment with an audience of people who have all committed to put their money where their mouths are as patrons of independent music. Because this is a listening environment, we ask that you step outside the gate if you want to talk during the performance.

WHAT TO BRING: In this ongoing pandemic period, we ask that you bring your own beverages, snacks, and chair or blanket (or you’re welcome to stand in the back, as some folks prefer). We might return to sharing potluck someday, but for now, please do not bring any food to share beyond your attendee group. Because this is a listening environment, we ask that you do not bring pets or children.

COVID PROTOCOLS: You are encouraged to practice COVID safety according to your comfort and vaccination status. We will stage our concerts outdoors for the foreseeable future. Indoor restrooms are available but masks are required indoors, congregating inside is not allowed, and these requirements will be enforced. Outdoors, masking and distancing are highly respected and encouraged but will not be enforced: We trust you will govern yourself with an appropriate spirit of community wellbeing.

CANCELLATION POLICY: If the show is cancelled due to a weather event or other unpleasant surprise, instead of a refund, each ticketholder will receive a merch credit with the artist. That way, the artist doesn’t lose all of the show revenue due to circumstances beyond their control, and patrons still receive something in exchange for their support.

VENUE INFO: The venue is our home in Pflugerville, near Wells Branch and Dessau. You'll receive the exact address when you purchase your ticket.
