Are you feeling stuck, unengaged, unsatisfied, and uninspired in your current job?
Don't worry, you're not alone.
In a job but thinking of making a career change?
We've been there and we know how to pivot.
Do you love your job?
Awesome! Come share and inspire others.
The Niche Movement believes that the best way to inspire, discover your strengths, and connect with other young professionals who love what they do, is by creating genuine environments to meet face to face: at meet-ups, happy hours, and now conferences. Enter NicheCon (DC). We are bringing together the entrepreneurial-minded, the creatives, & the forward-thinkers to help others find their niche.
Career happiness: if you don't have it, you're probably wondering how do I get it?
Well, together, we are going to learn how and continue the meaningful (and important) dialogue on the modern job search and how to feel engaged with your work.
Because The Niche Movement wants to end employment unhappiness and help this generation discover themselves and the limitless opportunities at our fingertips. Regardless of your age, your background, or your education there is no reason that you should be unengaged, unsatisfied, and uninspired. This conference is going to help you make a plan to do something about it.
No more feeling stuck.
The least The Niche Movement can do is take the next step and bring people from both ends of the spectrum (those who love their jobs to those who don't and everyone in between) together in a creative space for 48 hours.
What to expect:
Our conference format will be a blend of Creative Mornings, 99U, and TED style talks with a handful of intimate breakout sessions and panels in an auditorium and arena type space with several breakout rooms at George Washington University.
Overall Theme of the conference:
Intersection of the following:
1. Finding your Niche - To inspire attendees who are lost or stuck find opportunities where you can thrive and feel challenged and invincible.
2. Entrepreneurial - To inspire attendees who want to create a side hustle, launch their own movement, or are looking to create entrepreneurial tendencies in their lives or organization.
3. Storytelling - To inspire attendees how to develop their story for themselves or their organization. Learn real tactics on how to harness all digital and written content for all mediums.
See you in DC the spring of 2017.
Kicking things off: Nancy Lyons, CEO of Clockwork, Entrepreneur, All-Around Nice Person:
When Lester Holt of NBC nightly news, interviewed Nancy Lyons in November 2014, and she said "Who cares about the soda! If you don't feel good about where you work and don't believe what leadership is saying to you, then no can of soda is going to fix that for you."we knew she had to be involved in The Niche Movement. Fast forward more than 18 months, later, Nancy wrote the foreword to our book and is now our keynote speaker.
Nancy Lyons. Nancy is a Culturalist who speaks about the intersection of leadership, entrepreneurialism, technology, and people. Through her candid writing and speaking, she explores the many facets of life at work and champions human-centered approaches to business.
