The National Human Services Data Consortium provides information, assistance, peer education, and lifelong learning to its membership and other interested parties in the articulation, planning, implementation, and continuous operation of technology initiatives to collect, aggregate, analyze, and present information regarding the provision of human services.
NHSDC will host two events, its Fall Conference on October 13-14, 2016 and a Youth Data Privacy Summit the day before the conference on October 12, 2016. Tickets to the events are sold separately. The final Conference Brochure and Agenda is available. This NHSDC conference is a HUD-approved conference. Therefore, HMIS funds awarded under the Continuum of Care (CoC) and Emergency Solutions Grants (ESG) Programs may be used to attend the 2016 NHSDC Fall Conference. Projects without funds designated for HMIS cannot use funds from other budget line items (e.g., supportive service funds) to attend this event.
Fall 2016 Conference is October 13 and 14, 2016:
The theme for our Fall Conference is: “Bridging Input to Impact: Learning from Data to Create Smarter Systems of Care.” Our conferences highlight the good work that communities are doing to leverage data and deploy different strategies to tackle challenging social service issues.
Youth Privacy Summit on October 12, 2016:
For the past year, communities across the country have worked diligently to integrate HMIS and RHYMIS platforms. A key challenge in integrating these systems is obtaining a youth’s consent to share information collected and ensuring that both youth and service providers fully understand what consent in this context means. To advance the dialogue on these issues, NHSDC is partnering with the National Network for Youth to organize a Youth Privacy Summit on October 12, 2016 (the day before our Fall Conference).
