Spring 2013 Conference:
Our Spring conference will be held in Seattle, WA on April 25-26, 2013. Our theme is “Utilizing the power of data to advance Human Services”. The Spring Conference Planning Team is putting together an amazing conference. We are excited to announce our Preliminary Agenda. The preliminary agenda will have more additions and updates as we close out our call for proposals and the conference committee selects and confirms presentations for the final agenda.
From the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development regarding the use of HMIS funds: “As in past years, the NHSDC conference is a HUD-approved conference. Therefore, HMIS funds awarded under the Continuum of Care (CoC) Program may be used to attend the 2013 NHSDC Spring Conference. Projects without funds designated for HMIS do not have an HMIS budget, and, therefore, are not eligible to use CoC Program funds to attend this event.”
Pre-conference Activities (SOLD OUT): We have been fortunate to have the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation host us on April 24th to discuss regional initiatives in Washington state to address family homelessness. This session will take place from 11:45 to 2:15 on the 24th. Following that there will be a tour of the Downtown Emergency Services Center to look at a national housing first model supporting chronic alcoholics from 3PM to 5PM. Registrants for the tour should meet in the lobby of the hotel at 11:15am on the 24th. The tour has sold out and waiting list is full. If you purchase a waiting list ticket, it will be fully refunded if you are not selected for the tour.
