Join CU Denver National History Day in Colorado, Teaching with Primary Sources- MSU Denver,
History Colorado, and Rocky Mountain PBS-Colorado Experience to gain the tools and tips necessary for classroom success.

Educator Workshop
Thursday, August 24th & Friday, August 25th
8:30-3:30PM
History Colorado Center
(1200 Broadway, Denver, CO 80203)

Breakfast and Lunch will be provided

Learn:

  • The benefits of, and how to incorporate the National History Day framework into your classroom.
  • How to navigate and use the Library of Congress digital primary source collections in instruction.
  • How to create basic inquiry-based learning experiences.
  • How to integrate Colorado history topics and the theme, Conflict and Compromise, in your instruction
  • How to create DBQs and Annotated Resource Sets

Who is Eligible:

  • Current, past, and future History Day teachers who are committed to integrating National History Day into their classrooms (New teachers will be given priority)
  • Librarians, media specialists, technology teachers and other school support personnel

Benefits:
