Description

NGOs can no longer rely on handouts and donations alone to make the impact and still survive. That has paved way for the social enterprise model. NGOs are waking up to the fact that in order to deliver on the hopes and aspirations of their communities, they need to understand and apply business principles in every facet of their organization.

Achieving success in NGOs is no more measured in terms of community engagement, but also in terms of funding and finance. Branding plays a key role in ensuring NGOs communicate their values, delivers on their brand promises and sustains themselves for the long-term needs of the community they serve.

As a business with a social concern or aim, they often neglect those aspects of the business that have often been shrouded in mystery, such as business model, branding, human resource management and financial management, which can appear to be a waste of resource.

The workshop is to help participants appreciate the new paradigm called Social Enterprise whiles making available the various funding sources they could explore for financing their projects.
