Description

THIS IS TO BE ADDED TO A WAITLIST ONLY FOR ANY CPTC LOCATION. WE WILL MONITOR THE LEVEL OF INTEREST AND CONTACT YOU AS SOON AS THERE MAY BE ENOUGH TO SCHEDULE THIS TRAINING.

Originally developed at OSHA's request, NFPA 70E responds to the latest information about the effects of arc flash, arc blast, and direct current (dc) hazards, and recent developments in electrical design and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). The NFPA 70E helps you assess electrical risks on the job, making users more aware of the potential for devastating loss. Every three years, NFPA 70E is updated. In recent years, the standard has become increasingly stringent in response to the increased understanding of electrical accidents in industrial plants and facilities. Because of the severe and often devastating consequences of arc flash incidents—which claim one life every workday—NFPA, along with OSHA, is mandating and enforcing safer electrical work practices. Industrial facilities and plants are often challenged when it comes to making electrical safety policy changes in order to keep up with the new requirements. However, making every effort to comply is essential to avoiding costly fines, as well as protecting a facility’s equipment and its greatest asset: its employees. This course will help with efficiently and cost-effectively evaluating, updating and maintaining electrical safety programs to ensure compliance and a safe work environment for employees.
