Developing an Effective Team to Grow Your Business

How do you create an ideal team to grow your business? This webinar will take you through planning, hiring and developing your workforce from A-Z. We will cover:

  • Identifying your current and future workforce needs
  • The basics of understanding and drafting your organizational structure
  • How to write job descriptions that will attract the best employees
  • What to look for – and avoid – when vetting resumes
  • Strategies and best practices for interviews and recruitment
  • How to manage your employees once you’ve hired them, including performance management, continuing education, and holding on to top talent

Instructor Mary Simmons is a Human Resources and Training Professional with over 25 years of experience helping businesses achieve success. She is currently a Director of HR Consulting for Portnoy, Messinger, Pearl & Associates, Inc., a Labor Relations and Human Resources consulting firm.

Who should attend:

  • Graduates of SBS’ or other mentorship programs;
  • NYC-certified or eligible to apply to be certified M/WBEs;
  • At least 3 years in operation;
  • Have a minimum of $300,000 in annual revenues; and
  • Are interested in pursuing NYC contracting opportunities.
