Event description

Description

Fire Stories is the signature event of the Newstead Short Story Tattoo, outdoors and under the stars at the Newstead Racecourse we listen to Spaniel O Murray reading his beautiful, sharp, works, Pi O also reads from his astounding array of poetry, Simon Carroll plays the Adam Lindsay Gordon story on his banjo, whilst the horror-master Steve Proposch reads from a new Australian horror anthology, and Manisha Anjali reads works from her new poetry collection "Sugar Kane Woman". The night will finish with a very special improvosed musical performance where local musican, Neil Boyack (guitar) will team up with his long time musical partner Cris Sirc (electronics) for a live improvised performace to a series of arresting images taken from the Alan K Jordan photo archive (as seen above). Not to be missed. Please note bad weather back up venue is Butterland, 2 Tivey st, Newstead - check program.
