How to navigate the news media to stay informed.

About this Event

Hearst Connecticut Media and the Connecticut Society of Professional Journalists will sponsor a panel discussion on smart media navigation in today's society. Spoiler alert: Not everything you read on the internet is true.

Panelists will include Mercy Quaye, social change communications consultant and Hearst columnist; Mike Savino, reporter at Channel 3 Eyewitness News and president of the Connecticut Council on Freedom of Information; and Richard Hanley, associate professor of journalism at Quinnipiac University, who teaches a seminar on disinformation.

Event starts at 6:30 p.m. sharp in the Community Program Room of the library.

PARKING: 2-hour metered street parking is available on Elm, Grove, College or Temple Streets OR park in Yale’s Lot 51 on Temple Street after 4:30 p.m. (limited spaces available).
