Calling all Newark Businesses!
The City of Newark’s Quarterly Business Certification Expo is a one-day event where Newark businesses can:
• Meet one-on-one with city, county, state, and federal procurement agencies
• Learn of the different bidding and contracting opportunities with each agency
• Apply for multiple business certifications (MBE, WBE, MWBE, DBE, SBE, VOB/DVOB)
• Have on-site small business consultants review their applications
The purpose of the expo is to ensure Newark-based small businesses are competing for opportunities grow their businesses. These small business buy, hire, and spend even more local with these opportunities.

Businesses will hear about Certifications, RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs from:
• City
• County
• State
• Federal
& other agencies!
FAQs:
* Please do your research prior to the expo on which certifications you would like to apply for and come prepared with your questions and paperwork
** Attendees should come with their needed documents for their certifications digitally on their own laptop or on a jump / thumb drive
*** The Waterfront has a free parking lot that is available for attendees to park in, as well as on-street parking directly in front of the building
**** This expo is for Newark-based businesses and businesses either doing work in Newark, or are expanding into Newark
