Description

The New York State Education Department's Office of Bilingual Education and World Languages is excited to present a one-day professional development learning opportunity for World Language teachers and administrators. The event will feature key shifts for World Language curriculum, assessment, and instruction in New York State. Dr. Paul Sandrock, Director of Curriculum, ACTFL, will present the keynote "Guiding Learners to Grow and Show Their Proficiency: What's the Shift for New York Standards?". Breakout session will cover topics including: Articulated Integrated Performance Assessment, Seal of Biliteracy, Intercultural Competence, Can-Do Statements and Performance Targets, and Proficiency and the ACTFL Guidelines.

There is no cost to attendees for this event. This event can be used to fulfill CTLE requirements.

Hotel room information will be shared shortly. There will be rooms available at the state rate at the Saratoga Hilton.
