Registration for this event is open! To register, please email Cindy Klarwasser: email@example.com, provide your name and that you are with the InterExchange group.
In the spirit of cultural exchange and holiday cheer, InterExchange is happy to join the German American Chamber of Commerce, French American Chamber of Commerce and the Belgium Chamber of Commerce for Fa la la la lots of fun!
We are delighted to invite our J-1 Visa Exchange Program participants to the 2016 Holiday Party!
Our elves will be decking the halls with traditional German treats like Glühwein, Lebkuchen and pretzels. Cookies will be provided by Michel et Augustin, with complimentary beer by Hoegaarden and Leffe as well as other light refreshments! The party will include networking and holiday activities.
Please note that admission is free, however, we, as well as Nazareth Housing and the kids, kindly ask that you donate a toy and bring it to the event.
1. Bring a toy to donate
Nazareth Housing is a non-profit organization, it works to promote housing stability and economic independence among low income families and individuals of New York City. The goal of our donation is to bring joy to less fortunate kids and families. A representative from Nazareth Housing will give a short introduction to their work during the event. The toy should not be gender-specific and cost around $10.
2. Wear an “Ugly Sweater”
American "ugly sweater" parties are a great tradition to get in a holiday mood! In case you don’t know what we mean by that: Ugly sweaters are normally red and green with comically large snowmen, reindeer, and Christmas trees, and any sort of "kitsch" add-on. Participate in the "ugly sweater" contest to win prizes.
Let’s face it, these sweaters are festive but wacky. So put on your finest and make sure its tacky!
This event is organized by the German American Chamber of Commerce, French American Chamber of Commerce and the Belgium Chamber of Commerce.
