The New York Law School Dispute Resolution Team and Sports Law Society are honored to host the 2023 New York Law School Soccer Dispute Competition. The Competition will consist of four negotiation rounds (two preliminary rounds, a semi-final, and a final) and one written round (a pre-negotiation advisory memorandum). The Competition is structured to mirror the lifecycle of a soccer team, as parties negotiate player contracts, stadium construction, endorsements, and team ownership.
The Competition will be held in-person at New York Law School’s campus in New York City between February 10th – 11th, 2023. Teams from all law schools around the country are invited to compete. The cost to register one team is $250 and $450 to register two teams. A team consists of two competitors and one coach. Teams are encouraged to bring an alternate competitor. Additional team members are welcome but will be charged a fee of $75 per person. Food and beverages will be provided on the days of the competition, as well as a post-competition networking reception.
