Description

Make a Difference Together For 9/11

New York Cares is proud to be a co-organizer of this year's September 11 National Day of Service and Remembrance (“9/11 Day”), managed annually by the nonprofit MyGoodDeed. 9/11 Day provides a positive and forward-looking way for all Americans, through their charitable service and good deeds, to honor and remember the victims, survivors, families, and the many others who rose in service in response to the attacks.

In observance of the 15th anniversary of September 11th, 2001, New York Cares is inviting you to join other NYer’s on 9/11 to help pack half a million healthy meals for families, seniors, veterans and others at risk of hunger.

All volunteers will work for approximately two-hours. You can choose between a number of available shifts. When you click REGISTER, you’ll be taken to a page where you can select your desired shift and provide details needed for security purposes.

Be sure to share your 9/11 good deed on social media, and visit 911day.org for updates, parent guides and more info.

WHEN: Sunday, September 11, 2016
