Take a journey into the science of self-care and explore yoga & Ayurveda as transformative tools to foster greater health and vitality. This week long, self-care event will include all of the Ayurvedic foods, yoga, teaching, oils, herbs, and other traditional practices you need! No travel or extra time needed. The only commitment is to one week of self-love.

Chip & Sam invite you to spend a week devoted to self-care. Think about this workshop as a weeklong “staycation.” We will give you all of the tools, knowledge, and support you need to devote a week to the sister sciences of Yoga & Ayurveda. This week will be a full cleanse for your mind, body, and spirit. Here’s what you can expect:

Sunday, January 12 6PM: WORKSHOP AT MODO YOGA MIAMI BEACH

  • The Daily Routine: Dinacharya

A daily routine is absolutely necessary to bring radical change in body, mind, and consciousness. This daily routine is known as dinacharya. Dinacharya helps to establish balance in one's constitution. It also helps regulate your biological clock, it aids in digestion, absorption, and assimilation, and it generates self-esteem, discipline, peace, happiness, and longevity.

We’ll teach you the routine and include everything you need for one week of home practice.

  • Food and Nutrition: Kitchari

Kitchari means mixture, usually of two grains. Sam will teach you how to make a homemade kitchari that is particularly nourishing and easy to digest, including options for some alternatives to this ancient dish. Cost includes all of your food for the week.

  • Practice: Ashtanga Yoga Half-Primary

Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga is a complete system of yoga poses (asana) and dynamic movement (vinyasa), and is the foundation of yoga as we know it today in the west. Chip will teach you the Sun Salutations, Six Fundamental Positions, and “last three” finishing postures that comprise the “half-primary” sequence.

  • Meditation: Mindfulness Integration

Mindfulness can be described as the practice of paying attention in the present moment, and doing it intentionally and with non-judgment. We’ll teach you the building blocks of

a mindfulness meditation practice through the deliberate acts of regulating attention through the observation of thoughts, emotions and body states.

The week of January 13-19

This is where the “staycation” really begins. You’ll take the tools you learn in the opening workshop home, and commit to your daily routine for one week: dinacharya, kitchari, meditation, and yoga everyday.

Cost includes one week of yoga at MODO Yoga Miami Beach (Members get 15% off the Basic Package).

Chip will host an optional Open Practice & Meditation (half-primary) from 6-7am daily in the Beach Studio at Modo.

Sunday, January 19: Dinner and Closing Circle

We have a beautiful venue for our closing ceremony. We’ll gather in the early evening for a light practice with Chip, followed by a delicious chef-prepared bounty dinner by Sam, and finally a very special closing circle.
