Ring in 2017 with bubbly champagne, noise makers, and great music at the "Odd Fellows New Year's Eve Party with Mumbo Gumbo".
The party will be held at the Odd Fellows Lodge Hall, 415 2nd Street, in Downtown Davis. Doors open on Saturday, December 31, 2016 at 8 p.m. the music starts at 9:30 p.m. - and the party continues into Sunday, January 1, 2017. Tickets are $60 each. Ticket sales are limited to 225. The price of admission includes dancing all night long to the soul, zydeco, Cajun and Caribbean stew that is Mumbo Gumbo, party favors, and the traditional champagne toast at midnight. Also included is a gumbo or vegetarian chili dinner with cornbread that will be served all evening in the Lower Hall. No host bars will be open in both the Upper and the Lower Halls at the Odd Fellows Lodge Hall.
"We will feature a dance party in the Upper Hall with Mumbo Gumbo," said Juelie Roggli, Chair of the New Year's Party, "and in the Lower Hall we will have a more quiet and casual setting where folks can eat, talk and watch the big screen television showing New Year's Eve shows. This is our third year bringing this party to our community and it is always a huge success. We're delighted to bring it back this year. Each year has been a sell out with all 225 tickets sold before the party.”
The Davis Odd Fellows Lodge has been a fixture in the community since it was chartered in 1870. The Lodge has resided at its present location at 415 2nd Street since 1955. Currently, some 230 men and women are members of the Davis Odd Fellows Lodge. The Lodge is a fraternal order focusing on community service and social activities for its members.
