The Beta Theta Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated has hosted its annual New Year’s Eve celebration for a number of years. Each year the formal event celebration has allowed attendees to enjoy delicious food, drinks, and various forms of entertainment. The New Year’s Eve Gala is also an event that looks to help the community. Each year a portion of the proceeds have gone to scholarships for local high school students looking to further their education. We have awarded nearly $40,000 worth of scholarships. The event begins promptly at 8pm and lasts until 1:30am. Former scholarship recipients have attended schools such as Hampton University, the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill, North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University, and North Carolina State University. The Beta Theta Educational Foundation, Inc., a 501(c)(3) organization, is sponsoring the event so tickets are tax deductible.
