New Year's Eve Gala and Ghost Hunt
Event Information
Description
Celebrate the New Year with the Spirits of the Weld Street Inn! After two very successful, sold out nights in October, we are offering this opportunity again!
The big brick house on Weld Street has a long standing reputation for being haunted – shadow people busily going about their day in the second floor kitchen; a lady in purple walking around outside; mysterious music being played at all hours; and the unmistakable energy that fills the 137 year old mansion. After contacting two teams of paranormal investigators the results indicated that the inn is occupied by several spirits belonging mostly to previous residents, and more specifically, to those of the Marsh-Edwards Family.
Want to learn more? Join The Weld Street Inn and Riverside Paranormal on Saturday, December 30 from 7:00pm-11:00pm at the Weld Street Inn in Dixfield for a multi course buffet style dinner and learn about the Inn’s haunted history. Dinner will be followed by tours of the Inn using a mobile spirit box, and formal spirit box sessions with EMF detection will be conducted throughout the evening in our front parlor. Spend some time in our Victorian style psychic’s lounge where you can experience a selection of divination techniques and get a live Tarot Card reading. Browse our well stocked metaphysical shop for spiritual protections and jewelry, along with ritual boxes and much more (we accept cash and all major credit and debit cards). Three rooms (double occupancy) are available for overnight stays at a discounted rate (contact us directly for room reservations).

Organizer The Weld Street Inn
Organizer of New Year's Eve Gala and Ghost Hunt
The Weld Street Inn is a small boutique hotel located in a historic residence circa 1881. The Inn is furnished in salvaged period antiques and tastefully decorated to create a comfortable, welcoming atmosphere. Built in the late 19th century, the Inn sits on 1.25 acres in the Dixfield Village.
The big brick house has a long standing reputation for being haunted – the little boy playing in the second floor kitchen; a lady walking around outside, mysterious music being played at all hours, the ‘Big Man’ in the hallway, and the unmistakable energy that fills the 137 year old mansion. After contacting two teams of paranormal investigators, and conducting our own (ongoing) year-long investigation the results have undeniably indicated that the inn is haunted by several spirits belonging to previous residents, more specifically, to those of the Marsh-Edwards Family.
We are dedicated researching the history of the Inn and learning more about the people who have lived here. We welcome any information you might have or the stories you might tell about the spirits after your visit.
