Event description

Description

Warren Station at Keystone is in pursuit of an epic new year with Trout Steak Revival, “Colorado’s Next Great Bluegrass Band”, according to Denver Westword. We think you will agree. The band is back by popular demand, and has been hot on the scene since winning the best band competition at the Telluride Bluegrass Festival in 2014. The opening act will be local favorite Meadow Mountain. Add lots of snow and a rocking crowd; the Mountains have never sounded so good on New Year’s Eve! Free party favors while supplies last. Welcome 2018!

Trout Steak Revival - Soulful Narratives. Heartfelt Songwriting. Tightly-woven Instrumentation. Harmonies Rooted in Years of Friendship. Blending the foregoing, Trout Steak Revival pushes the envelope on a progressing genre while drawing creatively from the many canons of American roots music.

Trout Steak Revival has earned a place in the mountain states bluegrass scene, performing to sold-out audiences, winning the 2014 Telluride Bluegrass Festival Band Competition, placing in the 2012 Rockygrass Band Competition, and even winning an Emmy Award for a soundtrack with Rocky Mountain PBS. Their new album, “Brighter Every Day,” was released in March 2015. Produced by Chris Pandolfi of the Infamous Stringdusters, the album has radio play and acclaim both in Colorado and across the world. For more information check out www.troutsteak.com.

Meadow Mountain- Meadow Mountain started as a group of friends busking on the corner of the Vail farmers market, and it wasn’t long before they were playing gigs around Vail and Summit counties. They formed initially over a love of traditional and progressive bluegrass music. For the first summer of the band’s existence, they learned as much bluegrass music as they could, digging into bands like The Punch Brothers, Bluegrass Album Band, and Bela Fleck’s Drive band.

It was only a year after the band formed that they were hired to be the house band aboard the cruise ship, "The Norwegian Dawn". There, the band spent a month tightening up their sound and exploring the eastern coast of Canada. Since their return, they have become one of the premier voices in Colorado Bluegrass music. The band has given a TED talk, hosted Denver's only performance jam, and won the prestigious Rockygrass band competition. Other notable achievements include 1st place at the 2017 Ullrgrass band competition, and 3rd place at the 2017 Telluride bluegrass competition. They live in Denver, CO.
