COLONY presents their NEW YEARS EVE BASH featuring SEAN MATTHEW WHITEFORD & THE HOUSE PARTY BAND, who premiered at Colony in September, opening for 80s icon COREY FELDMAN. Now they’re back and ready to make you dance into the New Year with the party of your wildest dreams! Party all night to your favorite jams of the 70s, 80s, and more!

Sean Matthew Whiteford has been a prominent performer, producer and vocal coach in the Hudson Valley for over 15 years. At 17 years old, he had founded his own rock and roll theater company, Castaway Productions (est. 2005), that was born in Woodstock. Sean has been a featured vocalist with the award winning rock trio, SUPER 400 (and recently performed LED ZEPPELIN 1 at Colony), NYC’s powerhouse rock bands, PARTY ROCK and JESSIE’S GIRL, and with VIRTUAL JOURNEY BAND on YouTube, where his performances have been praised by Journey members including NEAL SCHON and ARNEL PINEDA. Sean has often worked with Asbury Park Music Award winner REMEMBER JONES on various shows and projects throughout the years.

As an actor, Sean has played the role of the narrator, “Lonny”, in ROCK OF AGES on the Norwegian Breakaway, and then reprised the role in Reno, as well as the regional debut of the show in Rhinebeck. Other notable performances include the title roles in JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR and HEDWIG AND THE ANGRY INCH, as well as the 50th Anniversary Concert of HAIR, alongside Tony Award nominee CONSTANTINE MAROULIS, Alexis Michelle of RUPAUL’S DRAG RACE, and Shira Elias of TURKQUAZ. Whiteford is also known for his performances as Frank N Furter in various renditions of THE ROCKY HORROR SHOW.

He is the writer and creator of his own 80s horror rock extravaganza, GIRLFRIEND FROM HELL: THE MUSICAL, which DC Metro Theatre Arts raved “has the makings of a rock musical cult classic”. The show recently performed in Times Square for Playbill.com’s PRIDE event. Sean also serves as a music producer for indie artists, including Ame & Logan Callahan, who will be special guests on NYE.
