February is heart month.
Yes, we show our love for family and friends on Valentine’s Day and tell them how much we love them. Equally as important is our physical heart. The heart is often associated with love; however, we don’t treat our hearts with love. If we do not take care of our hearts, we will not be around to enjoy and cherish those things that are important to us.
Heart disease kills more women every year than all cancers combined. It is actually the number one killer of women. Diet and exercise has been known to reverse the effects of some forms of diabetes, high blood pressure, reduce the risk of stroke and other cardiovascular illnesses, and improve mobility and joint strength.
