Description

Join the Baltimore Peoples Climate Movement for a FREE training on grants!

Do you have a neighborhood project, advocacy initiative, or nonprofit organization in need of financial support? Learn about foundations and the grant process from experts at the Association of Baltimore Area Grantmakers (ABAG). You’ll learn:

  • What foundations are, how they work, and what they look for in grant applications
  • What to consider when writing a grant proposal
  • How to nurture relationships with grantmakers, including questions to ask
  • How to find and select grant opportunities for your project
  • Key terms and philanthropy buzz words

We’ll even have some time to develop part of an application together to practice what we’ve learned!

About ABAG: The Association of Baltimore Area Grantmakers is the region’s premier resource on philanthropy with a mission to maximize the impact of giving on community life through a growing network of diverse, informed and effective philanthropists.

About Baltimore PCM: The Baltimore Peoples Climate Movement is an intersectional climate justice coalition based in Baltimore City, founded in 2017 around the mobilization of +600 Baltimoreans to the National Peoples Climate March in Washington D.C. Baltimore PCM strives to build a New Energy & Economic future by undoing environmental racism. This coalition of organizations, advocates and artists seeks to draw connections between seemingly disparate issues in Baltimore and climate justice in the spirit of equity solidarity through joint organizing, advocacy, skills trainings, arts, and outreach.
