REGISTRATION
Registration for OPERA America’s New Works Forum is limited to 100 participants; spaces will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis for organizational members, and by invitation only for individual members. Attendance is limited to two representatives per organization. To request an exception to this policy, please contact Laura Lee Everett, director of artistic services, at LEverett@operaamerica.org. The registration form must be completed no later than Wednesday, November 15, 2017.
MEAL AND TICKET FEE
While there is no registration charge for the New Works Forum, each registrant is required to pay a fee ($195) that will cover the cost of meals and tickets to the featured performances. Hosted meals include a welcome reception on Friday, January 12, and a dinner following the PROTOTYPE performance of Fellow Travelers on Sunday, January 14.
LODGING
After several years of creating partnerships with hotels to help our attendees get the best rates, we have found that individuals are often able to secure more options in January on their own. Below are a few nearby hotels that we can recommend, and your best time to book for the lowest rates is usually late October to early December.

TRAVEL SUBSIDY
OPERA America Professional Company Members (PCMs) who are based in the U.S., are in good standing and live more than 100 miles from New York City may request a travel subsidy.
If a PCM has never been represented at the New Works Forum winter meeting, it may request up to two (2) $1,000.00 stipends to help support the travel and housing of up to two staff members.
If a PCM has been represented at previous New Works Forum winter meetings, it may request up to two (2) $250.00 stipends to help support the travel and housing of up to two staff members.
To be considered for a stipend, the applicant must attend at least three days of the forum and be present for the majority of the sessions.
Stipends will be awarded in the order in which requests are received until funds allocated for the forum are expended. Payment will be made after the conclusion of the forum and upon receipt of documentation of expenses and a one-page summary report of the salient points of learning. Receipts and reports must be received by February 15, 2018.
