Claire Moodey presents femme pathos
8pm
femme pathos is an autobiographical play inside my brain about my relationship with my mother who is clinically depressed and gay. By digging into the process of becoming and unbecoming my mother, bumping into assumptions and social norms I learned as a kid, femme pathos attempts surgery on the pathology of femininity and homosexuality.
Directed by Lacy Post.
Clara Francesca & Timothy McCown Reynolds present Making Mrs. Marx
8:45pm
Clara Francesca takes her own unusual but thrilling approach to introducing us to Jenny Marx, the wife of philosopher Karl Marx. We’re witnessing the birth of a character on the stage and her destruction before the end. It’s not straight-forward biography but a glimpse into the soul of a woman who was devoted and supportive of her husband until she discovers his betrayal. Directed by Timothy McCown Reynolds, actor, director, artist and playwright local to Brooklyn NYC. Timothy has studied with Jim Kirkwood, Ryszard Cieslak, and Louis Scheeder. Both Clara and Timothy are appearing next in HAMLET at The Brick in July 2016.
